P: place, pedagogies, play
In the first image, a child is using digital technologies to create a “small world” with recycled materials in the school’s atelier. A moveable webcam allows her to play with scale; an enlarged image of her world is projected behind her.
Images two and three show a young child in the grassy meadow of an arboretum as he played at “being small in the tall grass.” The adjoining image is the silhouette of the same child projected onto a sheet in the school atelier in the hours following the arboretum visit. He is being made to look small through the exaggerated size of the digital grass.
