NEM wholesale prices, year before and after Hazelwood closure
Figure illustrating the volume weighted prices in the year before and year after the closure of the Hazelwood power station in Victoria.
The Hazelwood power station closed at the end of March 2017. The volume weighted price was calculated for the from 1st of April 2016 to the 1st of April 2017, for the year before and year from 1st of April 2018 to the 1st of April 2018 for the year after.
The raw data is also included as a csv file (RRP and DEMAND_AND_NONSCHEDGEN by region, for each trading interval between the beginning of April 2016 and the beginning of April 2018).
